It has never been marketed or sold, as it is a gift, just as the gift of insight I have received from learning to live in harmony with our planet. This book is therefore dedicated to those who seek to replace fear of whatever concerns you may have regarding finding power and control over your life. In these 89 pages, you will find over seven decades of stories that honestly happened in my life’s quest of seeking an inexpensive eco-sustainable lifestyle and what others seeking the same found along their pathways.

Although I was born on a ranch, my parents left for a steady paycheck. In this eBook, I describe various paths I took to get back to a farming lifestyle. Today, I have landed in the best of all worlds in Ecuador, South America. After leasing land to build our dream home, an eco-hobbit house that we had dreamed of creating for three decades, in a short six years, we were robbed of that dream. We recovered by renting a sturdy old farmhouse on a few acres. Power and, therefore, Internet service are sketchy in most developing countries. We relocated our off-grid power and rented satellite Internet access. Now, 99% of the time, we are on solar power and satellite Internet services. We have had to start over to create a food forest and extensive gardens, but the secure feeling of “Doing it yourself,” and having the only lights on at night, never seems to fade.
